Can anyone translate '240 UCAS points from 3 A levels' into plain English? What grades would you need?
Comments
- #2Do you mean 24 UCAS points?
When I did my A-Levels, a grade A was 10 points, a B was 8 points, etc.
So 24 points would be 3 Bs. - #3A = 120
B = 100
C = 80
D = 60
E = 40
Half points for AS, but they aren't usually counted.
So CCC would get you 240. - #40
- #5Praxidike is correct, but here is a proper breakdown:
http://www.ucas.com/candq/tariff/tariff.html - #60
- #7Definately 240 points!!!
120 = A
100 = B
80 = C
60 = D
40 = E
AS grades only (Half a course work = half the points of a two year course would you believe)
60 = A
50 = B
40 = C
30 = D
20 = E
Some Uni's will let you use General Studies as a grade too - #8I'm obviously a little behind the times...
Me also (but I did my A levels in 1992!)
That'll be me needing to do an access year then!
